Romy Madley-Croft and Hannah Marshall at the She Died of Beauty launch
Last night Erin O’Connor and her partner in T shirt design, Kate Halfpenny, threw an intimate soiree to launch their latest range of witty slogan tops at London’s very sumptuous Ivy Club. Hurrah! The range, is called She Died of Beauty and features such hilarious bon mots as ‘She Died of Satisfaction’ ‘She lived for Love’ in a monochromatic style befitting of Erin’s shiny bob and love of black.
Grazia Daily were there to sample the cocktails, generally take in the ambience and search for gossip like a hungry bee looking for nectar. Well, we brushed past Livia Firth and Henry Conway and had a brilliant catch-up with the lovely London designer, Hannah Marshall, who was there to support Erin, who is a great muse to Hannah and often closed her show at London Fashion Week.

But what has she been up to lately, we wondered? ‘I’m taking a couple of seasons off, not having a catwalk show and I’m doing lots of exciting other projects – much more bespoke clothes for individuals’ Ah, so that’s why she was looking so relaxed and jolly then, as Fashion Week is usually the most stressful time of year for all designers. And who is are her new clients? the singer Romy Madley-Croft from the most amazing xx among others. We think Hannah’s sculptural stylings are perfect for Romy – who also turned up to the party. As well as her, Hannah also has her eye on designing for Florence Welch and works with Marina Diamandis of Marina and the Diamonds. Eh? Doesn’t she go around dressed up like a cartoon character from the Wacky Racers? Why yes, Hannah laughed. “I don’t do colour, my work is all about black. So I might have to give Marina a bit of a goth-over!’
