Before they were melting hearts on-stage with Solange at Coachella, The xx were undertaking an epic Australian tour. It’s safe to saythat the land of the kangaroo holds a soft spot for the British band — their tour sold out so quickly that second shows were added to the Sydney and Melbourne dates, and their latest album, Coexist, has seen Gold sales.

While they were here Oliver Sim, Romy Madley Croft and Jamie xx kept a photo tour diary for Oyster of their whirlwind week. From an impromptu Timezone set that we wish we saw to true tourist moments (you’re not in Australia unless there is at least one koala and an Opera House) this is what happened behind-the-scenes.
